The Story Of Coffee Table Gourmet
It all started with a Valentine’s Day dinner I made many years ago for my then girlfriend who is now my wife. I was cooking a surf and turf dinner consisting of filet mignon, lobster tail, a cherry demi glaze, and roasted cauliflower mash.
At the time she was living in a condo she had owned and weeks prior to our Valentines Day dinner I had given her an old coffee table I no longer had use for. As I finished cooking our dinner I asked her if she would like to eat it on the coffee table. She said yes and as I was serving the meal I jokingly said coffee table gourmet.
Well needless to say the phrase stuck with me and her and I eventually worked it into what it has become today. I started with a Youtube channel where all of my video recipes are filmed on our coffee table in our home. The early videos are a bit crude as I was using a cell phone tied to a makeshift tripod. Of course I have since upgraded my equipment but the videos are still filmed on a coffee table to this day.
