Apple Crisp
Ingredients for apple filling:
- 1 ½ lb of peeled apple slices
- ¼ cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
Ingredients for crust:
- ½ cup of all purpose flour
- ½ cup of quick oats
- 3 oz of whole chopped butter
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- ½ tsp of ground cinnamon
Yield: 3 – 16 oz baking dishes, 12 – 4 oz baking dishes, or 1 – 48 oz baking pan.
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350ºF.
Step 2: In a mixing bowl combine ½ cup of all purpose flour, ½ cup of quick oats, 3 oz of whole chopped butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, and ½ tsp of ground cinnamon. Carefully rub together all the ingredients until the mixture is blended and crumbly in appearance.
Step 3: In a mixing bowl combine 1 ½ lb of peeled apple slices, ¼ cup of granulated sugar, and 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Gently mix the ingredients together.
Step 4: Pan spray your baking dishes or baking pan and fill with the apple mixture.
Step 5: Top the apple mixture with crumble crust and bake at 350ºF for 45 minutes.
Step 6: Once the apples are cooked and the crust is golden brown, remove from the oven and serve. You can choose to serve the apple crisp with ice cream and/or whipped topping. Bon Appetit!
