How to Make Cold Brew Coffee

Aside from being a refreshing alternative to a typical cup of hot brewed coffee, cold brew coffee is actually less acidic. Cold brew coffee tends to be less bitter and somewhat more flavorful. The reason for this is because the coffee grounds are protected against the higher temperatures that are required to brew hot coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee beans
  • 3 ½ to 4 cups of water

Step 1: Combine 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee beans and 3 ½ to 4 cups of water In a large container. Stir the ground coffee beans into the water, cover, and refrigerate for at least 12 hours. For a more bold flavor refrigerate for up to 18 to 24 hours.

Step 2: Remove the coffee mixture from the refrigerator and thoroughly strain out the ground coffee through a fine mesh strainer and a coffee filter. Serve and enjoy!
